Schalk is an attorney, notary and conveyancer with a special interest in Property Law and Mediation. He obtained his BProc degree through the University of Pretoria in 1978, and qualified himself further with a Master’s degree in Tax Law in 2001 at the same University.
He also holds a diploma in Advanced Corporate Law (cum laude) from UNISA (2011). He was admitted as an attorney in January 1979 and is currently senior
partner at VFV Attorneys. He was accredited as a Civil and Commercial Mediator by Conflict Dynamics (African Centre for Dispute Resolution) in February 2019.
